Junior King’s seeks to be a positive member of the local community. The school opens its sporting facilities to local clubs such as the Sturry Cricket Club who play their home fixtures on the 1st XI square. The Sturry Colts Football Club use the fields and astro pitch twice each week with over 100 boys and girls attending from the local area.
The Science Department is part of a local primary schools science initiative to raise the standards of science teaching in ten local schools. The school estate provides an excellent setting for environmental research.
Links are strong with the Sturry Parish Church community where the Chaplain is a member of the PCC and the Head is President of the Friends.
Throughout the year, there are many opportunities for local people to enjoy the beautiful grounds, facilities and catering that the school provides for special functions and event. The Twinning Association, the Sturry Over 50s and the Friends of St. Nicholas Church have all held events with the School’s support.
