U13A rugby team maintain two year undefeated status

As the rugby season comes to a close this week, we have a particularly special achievement to celebrate. Following a win in their final match last Saturday against Yardley Court, we are thrilled to announce that the U13A team has ended their season completely undefeated. This is a fantastic achievement, made all the more impressive by the fact that they gained the same distinction last year, making this their second unbeaten rugby season in a row.

This news comes hot on the heels of the team’s success in the Foster Cup 7s Festival last Wednesday. Playing with great commitment in both attack and defence, the team won all of their matches without conceding a single try, breezing to victory and winning the Cup for Junior King’s.

The whole school joined in celebration with the team in assembly on Monday morning as team captain Will (8L) was handed the Foster Cup by coach Mr Jamieson on the stage in the Barn. We were then treated to the team’s special victory chant, traditionally delivered in the changing rooms after every success on the pitch.

Photographed by Attila (8M) following their Cup win, the team is pictured here with Mr Jamieson who said of their achievements, ‘we are all extremely proud of them’. Roll on hockey season!
