Drum roll for the Children in Need fundraising total

The pennies have been counted and we are thrilled to announce that the final total raised by our community for Children in Need was a whopping £2375.07. A huge thank you to parents and pupils for their generous support of this amazing charity.

On the day itself, our pupils threw themselves into their activities in their year group bubbles – Pudsey ears optional, but very much encouraged. Pre-Prep went all out as usual, wearing polka-dotted clothes and enjoying creative activities ranging from producing Pudsey artwork to decorating special Pudsey biscuits. Junior House got hygge in the Music School after lessons with a pyjama party and were the recipients of their own personalised Pudsey calendars, while Middle School broke a sweat with sponsored circuits, accompanied by the Junior House boombox. Finally, Upper School had their very own Pudsey (or Beetle) Drive and an adrenaline-filled duck race on the river, with prizes for the winners.

While our Children in Need fundraising day is always a highlight of the Autumn term, this year’s activities felt just that little bit extra special. Undertaken in the bubbles we’ve had in place since the start of term and occurring during the second national lockdown, the separate fundraising activities felt like a uniting force as we worked towards a common, charitable goal. And as always, of course, it is wonderful that the fun we have together can make a special, marked difference for others.
