Regional Hockey Finalists
It has been an extremely busy few weeks of term and reflecting back on all that has happened and all that has been achieved, it is hard to imagine that it has been possible to fit everything we have done into that time, whilst also celebrating our 90th anniversary in style!
This half of term, we have started to embed our three core values of Respect, Resilience and Readiness which are at the heart of everything we do at the school. Year 4 gave a wonderful assembly on unsung heroes, acts of kindness and respecting others today.
We celebrated the success of our U11 girls’ hockey team who became Regional Finalists this week. On Thursday evening, we had a piano workshop, and it was delightful to see a number of parents there to support. There were excellent performances from our children from Year 3 to Year 8. Our guest pianist, Will Dutta, was inspirational and he performed a wonderfully moving piece by the American minimalist composer John Adams.
Middle School enjoyed their TASC (Thinking Actively in a Social Context) day on Thursday which was a fun day where the children were able to work collaboratively to develop their problem solving and thinking skills.
We wished ‘buen viaje’ to the Year 8s departing for Madrid this week and look forward to hearing how their trip goes and receiving updates on our social media sites.
I wish you all a very happy half-term and hope that you enjoy a well-deserved rest.
