90 years at Milner Court!

What a special week at Junior King’s with the celebration of our 90th anniversary on our beautiful site on Kipling Day. 90 years ago, our site was formally opened by Rudyard Kipling. From tree planting, art activities, a 1920s photo booth, 90th anniversary cakes, a commemorative photo of the whole community and a ride on a 1920s carousel, it was a truly unforgettable and special day! I hope that you enjoy looking at some photos from today, more will follow next week. On Saturday, we will have a number of fixtures all afternoon and there will be a special 90th anniversary match cream tea.

We are very grateful for the very generous donations for our Harvest Festival on Thursday. These will be distributed to Catching Lives and the Foodbank. We had a special service in the Barn and were able to say thank you and appreciate everything that we have.
In sport our U11A girls’ hockey team had an exciting week, coming away triumphant after winning the IAPS Plate. We also took part in the U13 KentIn2 Hockey Tournament at Birleys and proudly reached the semi-finals, as did our boys in the Shapira Cup on Wednesday.
