Pre-Prep

A great place to start

The transition from home to school can be daunting for both children and parents, so we do our utmost to make it a happy and enjoyable process. We find that children settle in quickly and find the warm, supportive atmosphere – along with lots to see and do – both reassuring and exciting.

In its delightful Kentish Oast House setting, Pre-Prep has its own spacious hall, library and seven bright and cheerful classrooms complete with ICT facilities. Outside, pupils have their own adventure playground as well as the opportunity to share main school facilities such as the sports hall, tithe barn and dining hall.

Children can start at Nursery from the age of three, with specialist early years teachers creating a happy and secure environment in which children are encouraged to develop their skills through a variety of enjoyable and stimulating activities.

As children progress through Pre-Prep they will find more and more opportunities opening up both academically and in terms of sport and creative arts. At the same time, our high staff-to-pupil ratio ensures that each individual receives the personal attention they require.

Following the Foundation Stage and National Curriculum guidelines, Pre-Prep encourages an early development of personal responsibility and independence - laying an invaluable foundation for the opportunities that lie ahead as the children move through their journey at King's.
