Concerts

There are both formal and informal concerts every term.

The informal concerts take place each half of term.  They are intended to provide pupils with an opportunity to perform a prepared piece within a friendly family atmosphere.  This is ideal preparation for an oncoming exam or scholarship.

This year's programme of more formal concerts comprises a concert to celebrate St Cecilia's Day in November and three concerts at the end of each of the Spring and Summer Terms to give plenty of opportunities to Junior, Middle and Senior School pupils

We also have an annual Music Competition ('Musician of The Year') and a whole-school House Song Competition on the last day of the Autumn Term. There are also cross curricular projects, particularly with the Drama Department.

We consider it very important to take our music into the wider community and to participate in community events. Examples this year include a Senior Musicians' Concert in the Dominican Priory and participation in the annual RSCM Festival in Canterbury Cathedral.
